Celebrate the Season
Would you like to celebrate the Christian seasons with a spiritual community that values the true meaning of Christmas and Easter? Are you looking for a spiritual alternative to the overwhelming pre-Christmas commercial frenzy that starts sometime around Halloween? At St. Thomas, we celebrate Advent, the season before Christmas, as a period of anticipation before the birth of Jesus. When Christmas finally arrives, we relish the celebratory traditions of the season for twelve days.
Are you looking for ways to celebrate the rebirth of Jesus other than eating too much pastel-colored candy? At St. Thomas, we appreciate the season of Lent, which is intimately connected to the Easter season and begins 40 days before Easter Day. We prepare for Jesus’ glorious raising from the dead in many ways. We pray and read and reflect on the stories of our faith. We examine how we’ve lived, and then in response, turn back to God. On Easter Day, God makes all of humanity in right relationship with God by raising Jesus from the dead. With a feast of bread and wine, the Holy Communion, we celebrate this saving love of God. Come join us as we offer many opportunities for worship during all Christian seasons. To find out more about worship at St. Thomas, please click here.
